Summer Sessions

Each Saturday throughout July and August, commencing Saturday 17th July, The Victoria Shopping Centre, will host a Summer Sessions Festival, whereby musical entertainers are invited into the scheme to perform.

'Summer Sessions' is essentially a Summer long busking festival giving local musical talent a boost and captive audience. The festival is a competition with the voted winner receiving a free hour long recording session at a top recording studio. There you can burn their first CD single.

Musical entertainers register online at www.victoriasc.co.uk to be given the chance to perform. The closing date for registrations is Wednesday 23rd June 2010. Entertainers will then be assigned a performance slot - date and time. Each performance is expected to last up to 15 minutes long (3 songs total). Acts can be any genre of music, the total number of performers per act is twelve and performers must be aged 10-40 years.

All performances will be filmed and streamed through the website as well as The Victoria’s Facebook Page - www.victoriasc.co.uk/facebook. The viewing public will then be given the opportunity to vote for their favorite act via a Facebook App. The artist with the highest rating will win the competition and receive the amazing competition prize.

Please note acts must bring their own musical equipment if required, transport to and from the venue is also not accounted for. The Victoria will provide a staged area and power if required.
